Understand task types
| Type | Use it for |
|---|---|
| SMS | A text-message follow-up with a contact. |
| An email follow-up with a contact. | |
| Call | A phone follow-up with a contact. |
| Meeting | Scheduling, preparation, or another meeting-related action. |
| Review | Human review or approval of work. |
The task type helps Superpractice present the right actions and keeps task reporting meaningful. Choose the channel the assignee is expected to use.
Work the task queue
The Tasks page includes:
- Summary cards for Overdue, Due today, Unassigned, and Completed.
- Quick views for All active, My tasks, Today, Yesterday, Overdue, Starred, and Completed.
- Search, detailed filters, and sorting.
Click a task to open its details. Depending on the task, the available actions can include:
- Handled — mark the work complete.
- Deny — cancel a task that should not be done.
- Execute — run an eligible AI-assisted task.
- Approve — approve work waiting for review.
- Reschedule — change the due date.
- Reopen — move a completed or denied task back to pending.
Complete several tasks at once
- Select the checkbox beside each task.
- Use the bulk action bar to:
- Mark the selected tasks done
- Deny them
- Assign them to a team member
- Delete them
- Confirm the result in the task list and summary counts.
Use Deny when a task is not appropriate but should remain part of the work history. Use Delete for duplicates or mistakes.
AI-recommended tasks
Superpractice can generate follow-up tasks from contact, call, meeting, and pipeline signals. Treat these as a prioritized work queue:
- Review the title, contact, lead score, due date, and owner.
- Open the task for the underlying context.
- Execute or handle useful tasks.
- Deny recommendations that are not appropriate.
- Reassign tasks when a different person owns the relationship.
Task-generation and assignment behavior is configured under Settings > Tasks.
Task hygiene
- Give every time-sensitive task a due date.
- Assign an owner unless your firm deliberately uses auto-assignment.
- Use a contact on all outreach work.
- Use Handled only after the action is complete.
- Deny stale or inappropriate AI recommendations instead of leaving them overdue.
- Use My tasks for daily execution and Unassigned for manager cleanup.
