SEO AI visibility

Review how supported AI experiences name, cite, describe, and refer business to the firm.

What this page is for

The AI Visibility page helps you understand how the firm appears in sampled AI answers and how AI discovery connects to website activity and retained outcomes.

AI answers vary by wording, time, model, location, and user context. Use the results directionally and review examples before acting.

Complete the first scan

If the page has not been configured:

  1. Open Grow > SEO > AI Visibility.
  2. Choose the prompts or questions that matter to the firm.
  3. Run the first scan.
  4. Wait for the scan to finish.
  5. Return to Manage prompts when the tracked set needs to change.

Choose prompts that resemble real prospective-client questions. Avoid tracking many trivial wording variations of the same question.

Use the six views

Visibility

Use Visibility for the tracked prompt set.

Review:

  • how often the firm is named in sampled answers
  • when the firm's website is cited as a source
  • supported search AI citation signals
  • website visits from recognized AI sources
  • results by supported engine
  • prompt history and changes over time
  • domains cited instead of the firm

Open a prompt to read the underlying result. A summary percentage should always be interpreted with the actual question and answer.

AI Footprint

Use AI Footprint to explore where the firm's presence extends beyond the selected prompt list.

The view can surface:

  • questions where the firm is named
  • queries where the firm's website is used as a source
  • relevant demand where the firm may be absent
  • pages that appear behind citations
  • the apparent strength of citation sources

Click Track prompt on a worthwhile discovered question when you want it monitored in Visibility.

Competitors

Use Competitors to compare the firm with the competitor set configured for SEO.

  1. Confirm the tracked competitors are relevant.
  2. Compare answer presence across the same kinds of questions.
  3. Open examples where another organization appears instead.
  4. Look for a legitimate information or authority gap.

The correct response may be better site content, clearer firm information, stronger third-party authority, or no change. Do not imitate a competitor's claims.

Sentiment

Sentiment summarizes themes in answers that actually name the firm.

  1. Review positive and critical themes.
  2. Open the example answers behind a theme.
  3. Separate a one-off answer from a repeated pattern.
  4. Correct inaccurate public information at its source when possible.

An empty Sentiment view can mean that the firm was not named in enough relevant answers; it does not necessarily indicate neutral sentiment.

Revenue

Use Revenue to connect recognized AI discovery with Superpractice outcomes.

  1. Select the reporting period.
  2. Review organic AI revenue and the traffic/revenue trend.
  3. Compare supported AI sources.
  4. Review queries or visits associated with value.
  5. Follow the visibility-to-revenue funnel.
  6. Open the underlying matter records when a drilldown is available.

Paid OpenAI advertising is reported separately in the OpenAI Ads dashboard.

Win Citations

Use Win Citations for reviewable actions.

It can include missed tracked prompts, pages that are cited, content opportunities, link-related gaps, and site-readiness checks.

  1. Run or rerun the site audit when appropriate.
  2. Open an issue to understand the affected page or prompt.
  3. Choose the applicable action, such as writing, optimizing, reviewing link gaps, or fixing crawler access.
  4. Verify the issue before changing the site.
  5. Measure whether the change improves useful visibility over time.

How to read the data

  • Named and cited are different: an answer can mention the firm without linking to its website.
  • Tracked prompt visibility describes the selected question set, not every possible AI conversation.
  • AI visits depend on recognizable referral information and the Superpractice tracking setup.
  • Revenue depends on accurate attribution and retained matter records.
  • Competitor presence does not prove that the competing firm is the best result.
  • A change between scans can reflect normal answer variability.

A practical review routine

Weekly

  1. Review visibility for the most important prompts.
  2. Read examples behind large changes.
  3. Track one or two valuable discovered questions.
  4. Triage citation opportunities.

Monthly

  1. Compare engines and competitors.
  2. Review repeated sentiment themes.
  3. Connect AI visits to contacts, matters, and retained value.
  4. Revisit the prompt set as client questions change.

If data is missing

  • Run the first scan and wait for it to complete.
  • Confirm prompts are selected.
  • Check the selected date range in Revenue.
  • Confirm the tracking pixel and attribution setup for visits and revenue.
  • Add relevant competitors in Competitor Intel.
  • Expect empty sections when the firm is not named or cited in the sampled answers.
