SEO dashboard
Read the SEO dashboard and move from search visibility to content, attribution, and revenue investigation.
What the dashboard is for
The SEO dashboard is the starting point for reviewing organic search performance. It brings together Search Console data, Superpractice content, attributed retained matters, and the current content pipeline.
Use it to answer:
- Is search visibility growing or shrinking?
- Which keywords and articles are driving the change?
- Is organic discovery contributing to retained revenue?
- What content work should happen next?
Start broad, then investigate
The Dashboard summarizes the workspace. Open a specialist SEO page when you need a complete table, workflow, or diagnostic view.
Before you use it
For the fullest dashboard:
- Connect the production website's Google Search Console property.
- Install the Superpractice tracking pixel where attribution depends on website activity.
- Keep contacts, matters, practice areas, and retained matter values accurate.
- Publish Superpractice content to its final URL and confirm any URL match that needs review.
Read the KPI row
- Open Grow > SEO > Dashboard.
- Select a date range.
- Review:
| Metric | What it means |
|---|---|
| Clicks | Visits from Google Search recorded by Search Console |
| Impressions | Times pages from the site appeared in Google Search results |
| Avg CTR | Clicks divided by impressions |
| Avg Position | Average Search Console ranking position; a lower number is better |
| Organic Discovery Revenue | Retained matter value attributed to organic search or supported AI discovery sources |
Compare a complete period with a similar prior period. A current day or month can look artificially weak because the source data is incomplete.
Use the SEO Brief
The SEO Brief summarizes recent movement and suggests a next step.
- Read the headline and the supporting explanation.
- Confirm the observation in the related chart or table.
- Click Regenerate brief when you need a fresh summary.
- Treat the brief as a starting point for investigation, not an automatic publishing instruction.
Investigate Search performance
The Search performance section combines a trend chart with keyword groups.
- Use the page, keyword, device, and country filters to narrow the question.
- Turn Clicks, Impressions, CTR, or Position on or off to compare the relevant series.
- Review the keyword bands:
| Band | Use it for |
|---|---|
| All ranked | The complete tracked set |
| Top 3 | Keywords with the strongest current visibility |
| Positions 4–10 | First-page keywords that may have room to improve |
| Positions 11–20 | Near-page-one keywords worth validating |
Tracked Keywords counts the keywords included in the current view. Monthly Demand is an estimate of search interest, not a guaranteed traffic forecast.
Review Content performance
The content table shows Superpractice-published articles tracked in Search Console.
- Compare the six-month trend with the selected-period clicks, impressions, and position.
- Look for sustained changes instead of reacting to one partial period.
- Open an article row for its detail view.
- Use Confirm URL when Superpractice needs you to match an article to its published Search Console URL.
- Open Content Performance for the full chart, table, and article history.
Read Organic revenue
Organic revenue connects discovery to retained business outcomes.
- Review retained matter value by service or practice area.
- Compare search discovery with supported AI discovery sources.
- Open a retained-matter count when a drilldown is available.
- Validate the underlying matters, dates, values, and attribution before making a budget or staffing decision.
Revenue can update on a different schedule than Search Console metrics. It also depends on accurate CRM records.
Work the Content pipeline
The pipeline summarizes the article queue and quick opportunities.
- Open Content Schedule to manage articles through drafting, review, scheduling, and publication.
- Open Keyword Tracker to review focused keyword ideas, track their rankings, and start new article work.
- Check the existing topical map before starting a near-duplicate page.
Ask a dashboard question
Use the question box or a suggested prompt to open the Superpractice assistant with the selected dashboard context. Ask a specific question such as which pages lost clicks, which topics are near page one, or which organic sources produced retained value.
The answer is an analysis of the available data. Verify important conclusions in the table, contact, or matter record.
Choose the right SEO page

| AI Visibility | Review tracked AI answers, citations, competitors, sentiment, and revenue |
| Backlinks | Review link gaps, live links, lost links, top pages, and anchors |
| Content Audit | Triage pages losing traction or ready for improvement |
| Keyword Audit | Track keyword positions and month-over-month direction |

If data is missing
- Confirm Google Search Console is connected to the correct production property.
- Check the selected date range and remove restrictive filters.
- Allow for source-platform synchronization delays.
- Confirm published URLs when a row says Confirm URL.
- Confirm tracking, attribution, practice-area mappings, and retained matter values for revenue views.
- Remember that a dash usually means there is not enough applicable data; it does not always mean zero.
