Social
Connect the firm's Facebook Page, Instagram, and attorneys' own LinkedIn, write posts with AI drafts for each channel, approve them if your firm wants to, schedule them, plan the Instagram grid, and see which posts bring in leads.
Grow > Social is where your firm plans, writes, approves, schedules, and measures its social posts for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Every post starts from something you already have, such as an article, a Media item, or an AI Avatar video, and gets its own draft for each channel in the firm's voice.
Social is turned on for each firm by your Superpractice team. If you don't see Social under Grow in the sidebar, ask your Superpractice team.
Connect accounts
Open the Accounts tab, the last tab on any Social page, then click Connect an account.
Facebook and Instagram
The firm's Facebook Page and its Instagram account connect together, through one Facebook sign-in. Owners and admins connect them.
- Choose Facebook and Instagram.
- Sign in to Facebook with the profile that runs the firm's Page.
- On Facebook's screen, keep every Page selected. Don't untick any. You choose the firm's Page in the next step, in Superpractice.
- Back in Superpractice, Where should the firm post? lists the Pages on that sign-in, each with its Instagram account under it. Tick the firm's Page, its Instagram, or both, then click Connect.
Only what you tick is connected. Nobody else at the firm sees the other Pages your Facebook login can reach.
The Instagram account needs to be a Business or Creator account linked to the firm's Page. Switching in Instagram's settings is free and keeps every post and follower.
Your own LinkedIn
LinkedIn posts go out from an attorney's own profile. Each person connects their own:
- Choose My LinkedIn.
- Sign in to LinkedIn as yourself.
Only you can connect your LinkedIn. Nobody can connect it for you, the Superpractice team included. LinkedIn asks you to sign in again from time to time, and your row says LinkedIn asks again by a date three weeks before.
Who sees which accounts
Everyone at your firm with Social sees the firm's connected accounts on the Accounts tab, with who connected each one.
- Connected by names the person who signed in. An Instagram account says Through Facebook, and a personal LinkedIn says You or Own login.
- Only the person who signed in to Facebook can change which Pages are connected (Change Pages in the row's ⋯ menu). Everyone else sees which Page and Instagram account the firm posts to, and Ask the person who connected this to change it.
- Owners and admins can disconnect the firm's Page and Instagram. Each attorney can disconnect their own LinkedIn.
Status and reconnecting
The Status column says Ready to post, or what needs doing:
- Signed out. Posts wait for a reconnect: open the row's ⋯ menu and choose Reconnect. Scheduled posts to that account wait and go out once it's connected again.
- Pick the Pages to post to: the Facebook sign-in finished, but no Page was chosen yet.
- Upgrade waiting: one reconnect finishes it. Posts and schedules stay as they are.
Check sign-in in the ⋯ menu checks an account straight away. Disconnect asks you to confirm, then gives you a few seconds to Undo. Scheduled posts to a disconnected account wait until it's connected again. Posts already out stay up.
In Settings > Integrations, the Meta card shows two separate connections: Ads and leads, and Posting to Facebook and Instagram. They sign in separately, so one never interrupts the other.
Write a post
Click New post in the Social header and choose what the post starts from: A post from Media, An AI Avatar video, An article, or A blank post. Pick the item, and the composer opens.
Where and when
The left column of the composer sets up the post:
- Started from: the item the post is built on.
- Post to: every connected account starts ticked. Untick the ones this post shouldn't go to. A signed-out account shows, turned off.
- When: Schedule or Post now. The suggested time comes from your firm's own results, such as "Thursday mornings bring your most clicks." With too few past posts to tell, it suggests the next weekday at 9:00 AM.
- Tag: the content tag. See Content tags.
- Bar rules: notes on lines worth a second look, such as a promised result or a superlative. Click Make that change to have the AI rewrite that line. The notes never stop a post. Where your state asks firms to file ads, a reminder shows here too.
AI drafts for each channel
The composer has one tab per channel, each with its own caption, Drafted for each channel in the firm's voice. Change any of them. A tab you edited by hand gets a dot.
- Try another angle rewrites the open tab with a different opening and a different way into the same point.
- Copy this caption to copies the open tab's caption to the other channels.
- The counter shows how much of the channel's limit you've used, such as 318 / 2,200.
Pictures and video
Add a picture or video from Media. When an item comes in several shapes, pick the one each channel shows: Portrait 3:4, Portrait 4:5, Square, Landscape, or Reel cover. Each channel starts on the shape it shows best: Instagram the tall portrait, Facebook and LinkedIn the square.
- Instagram takes JPEG pictures in 3:4, 4:5, 1:1, or 1.91:1, and its posts have no link card. A 3:4 picture may be cropped to 4:5 by Instagram, so check it once it's live.
- A LinkedIn post takes pictures or one video, not both.
Instagram first comment
Instagram tabs have a First comment box. Hashtags go here so the caption reads clean. It posts under the post as soon as it goes live.
Preview
The preview shows the post as it will look on Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn, and where each one cuts the text: Instagram after the first line, Facebook and LinkedIn after three lines.
The composer saves as you go and shows Draft saved.
Approvals
Owners or admins approve team members' posts
Approvals are off by default. With them off, anyone at your firm with Social can schedule or post.
Owners and admins can turn them on in Accounts, under Approvals: switch on Owners or admins approve team members' posts. It saves as soon as you click it. Nobody else sees the switch.
With it on:
- A team member's post waits for an OK from an owner or admin before it can be scheduled or posted. The composer footer says who gives it, such as Sam Harbor gives the OK before anything posts., or Your firm's admins give the OK before anything posts. when there are several. The button reads Send for approval. You can undo a send for 5 seconds.
- Owners and admins, and the Superpractice team working for your firm, never wait. They schedule and post directly, and they're the ones who approve. A team member can't approve.
- The post keeps the time picked when it was sent. Once the OK comes, it's scheduled for that time. With Post now, it posts as soon as the OK comes. If the planned time has already passed, it waits: The planned time passed. Pick a new time.
To give your OK, open the post. In Your OK, click Looks good, or Ask for changes and say what should change. An owner or admin who schedules a team member's post directly gives their OK by doing so.
LinkedIn needs its owner's OK
A post to an attorney's LinkedIn goes out only once that attorney says it looks good, signed in as themselves, unless they're the one sending it. Nobody else's OK counts for their profile, not even an owner's or the Superpractice team's, and this applies whether approvals are on or off. The button then reads Send to Elena.
Edits and the OK
An OK covers the exact version it was given for. When a team member changes what goes out, such as a caption, the media, the first comment, the link, or the channels, the post needs a new OK, and a scheduled post goes back to In review. An owner's or admin's change never needs a new one.
A change of any kind still needs the attorney's OK again for a post to their LinkedIn.
Changing only the title, the tag, or the time keeps the OK.
Plan your posts
Social has three planning tabs, Board, Calendar, and Posts. Click any post on them to open it.
Board
The Board has five lanes: Idea, Drafting, In review, Scheduled, and Posted.
- Click + on the Idea lane, type What's the idea?, and press Enter to save one.
- Drag a card to another lane, or within a lane to reorder it. You can also use Move to in the card's ⋯ menu. Each move has an Undo.
- Moving a post to Scheduled schedules it, or says it Posts … once Elena says OK when the OK is all it's waiting for.
- A line at the foot of a card says what it's waiting on, such as Waiting for Elena's OK, Edited. Needs Elena's OK, or Couldn't post to Facebook with Reconnect.
- Posted keeps the last 30 days. Older posts are in Posts.
- Filter by Channel, Tag, Posted as, or Author.
On a phone, you see one lane at a time. Press and hold a card to move it.
Calendar
The calendar shows every post by day, on your firm's clock. Switch between Month and Week, or click Today. Drag a post to another day to move it; it keeps its time. A post that needs someone shows an amber clock or a red alert.
Posts
Posts lists every idea, draft, and post, newest first.
- Saved views across the top: All, This month, Needs approval, and one for each attorney's LinkedIn.
- Filter by status, channel, tag, author, or date, or search.
- Each row's ⋯ menu has Open, Duplicate, Move date, and Delete. Move date keeps the approval. Delete gives you a few seconds to Undo.
Content tags
Tags show what each post is about, so the firm keeps a good mix. Open them from Edit tags in a Tag menu. Your firm starts with six: Firm story, Know your rights, Our services, Client wins, Community, and Behind the scenes. Rename any of them, change their colour, delete them, or click New tag.
Your mix, next 30 days shows how many planned posts each tag has. An AI note under it points out a gap, and Draft it or Draft both starts drafts that fill it.
The past-results line
Turn on Add the past-results line to every post with this tag for tags such as Client wins. Every post with that tag then ends with your state's past-results disclaimer on every channel, so whoever gives the OK reads it in the post itself and the preview shows it.
Plan the Instagram grid
The Instagram Feed tab shows your firm's real Instagram grid, with every scheduled post in the spot it will land.
- Ready to place lists Instagram posts that are ready to go but have no time yet. Drag one onto the grid between two posts, or click Add for to take the next open time.
- Drag a scheduled tile onto another to swap their times, or use Move to and Trade places with in its menu. Posts that are already live can't move.
- Moving a post keeps its approval.
- Two posts to the same account are always at least 2 minutes apart. A time that's too close moves forward, and the page says so.
- Show grid on previews the grid as it will look on a later date.
Pins
Instagram only lets you pin posts from its own app. Mark up to three posts as Pinned here with Pin to top, to match what's pinned in Instagram, so the grid shows the real order. You can pin a scheduled post too. When it goes live, whoever scheduled it gets a reminder in their bell to pin it in Instagram.
Analytics
Analytics shows what your posts bring in. Choose Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Month to date, or Last month, and one channel or All channels. New numbers arrive each morning.
- Social brief: three takeaways from your results, each with one action, such as moving a post to a better time or drafting one like your best post.
- Key figures: Leads from social, Reach, Engagement rate, and Followers. Link clicks shows once your posts report them.
- Over time, By channel, By content tag, Best times to post over the last 90 days, and Top posts by leads.
What counts as a lead from social
Leads from social are contacts whose first touch was an unpaid social post. They're counted the same way as leads on the dashboard: the dashboard's Social channel, with social ads left out. See What counts as a lead.
- Each lead counts on the day the contact came in, even when the post went out earlier.
- By channel splits them into Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Other social holds unpaid posts on networks not connected here. The rows add up to the total.
- Links in Facebook and LinkedIn posts are tagged when you save, so the leads they bring in are counted. The approval and the preview show the tagged link. A link that already carries its own tracking is left as it is.
Engagement rate is likes, comments, shares, and saves divided by the times posts were seen, for Instagram and Facebook. LinkedIn doesn't share personal-profile numbers with apps.
Team sharing
When a firm post goes live on LinkedIn, Superpractice can ask your teammates to like, repost, or comment on it from their own profile.
- Superpractice never likes, comments, or reposts for anyone. The ask opens the post on LinkedIn, where each person taps, signed in as themselves. A suggested comment is ready to copy.
- One message per post, per person, and never to the post's author. Ignoring it is fine.
Owners and admins set it up on the Accounts tab, under Team sharing:
- Ask the team when a firm post goes live: on or off.
- Who gets asked: only people who connected their own account can be ticked. For anyone else, Send link asks them in the app to connect theirs.
- How they're asked: In the app, in their bell, is always on. Text message goes only to people who added a mobile number, within the legal texting hours where they are. Reply STOP to stop the texts.
- Quiet hours: 8:00 PM to 7:30 AM and weekends to start with, in each person's own time zone. Asks wait and go out when quiet hours end.
The Team section of a post that went out shows who was asked and what they did.
After a post goes out
Open the post and click Edit, then Update post.
- Facebook: the caption updates on Facebook. When a team member makes the change and approvals are on, it waits for an owner's or admin's OK, and the post shows the new words above Live now:.
- LinkedIn: only the attorney whose profile it's on can update it.
- Instagram doesn't allow caption edits after posting.
To take a post down, click Delete post in the post window and confirm. It comes down from every channel it went to, and its record stays in Superpractice. A post on an attorney's LinkedIn can only be taken down by that attorney. A post that hasn't gone out is simply deleted.
If a post may not have gone out, the post says We couldn't confirm this posted. Check the channel first. Only if the post isn't there, click I checked. Post it again. Otherwise you'd make a second copy.
Ask the assistant
The assistant can find your social posts, draft one, give your OK, and schedule one. It acts as you: it approves only if you're an owner or admin (or for your own LinkedIn), and it asks you first before it approves or schedules anything. A connection your firm shares with another app can't approve.
Coming soon
These are built but not turned on yet. To use them, ask your Superpractice team.
- X: post the firm's posts to X. Owners and admins turn it on with a monthly limit between $1 and $10,000. Each post is billed with your usage, $0.015, or $0.20 with a link, and the composer shows what each one costs. At the limit, posts to X stop for the month, so you're never charged more.
- Competitor ads: in Grow > SEO > Competitor Intel, see the ads your competitors run, with a short read of each one, and get a Monday email when they launch or stop ads.
