Competitors

See every Facebook and Google ad your competitors run on one wall, with a plain read of each, save the ones worth borrowing, and draft your own with the assistant.

Grow > Social > Competitors shows the ads the firms you compete with run on Facebook, Instagram, and Google, all on one wall. Each ad comes with a short read of what it's selling, so you can see what rivals launch the week they launch it.

Competitors is on for every firm. Superpractice reads only the public ad libraries that Meta and Google publish. It never uses your own ad accounts. If your firm doesn't want it, ask your Superpractice team to turn it off.

Add a competitor

Click Add competitor. You can track up to 10 competitors.

  1. Type their website, such as keelmorrow.com, then click Find their ads.
  2. Check that the Facebook Page and the Google advertiser it found are really theirs. If one is wrong, paste the right link, or choose They don't run Facebook ads or They don't run Google ads.
  3. Click Start tracking.

The first look runs straight away, and after that every week. Your competitor list is shared with SEO > Competitor Intel, so adding one here adds it there too.

With no competitors yet, the page suggests firms you already meet in search and firms that show up near you. Click + to add one.

To change a competitor's Page or advertiser, pick them in the Competitor menu and click Edit. Look now checks their ads straight away. Stop tracking stops looking at their ads. The ads you already saw stay in your history.

The wall

Every competitor's ads sit together, newest first, and more load as you scroll. Each picture keeps its own shape and is never cropped. Cards stay about the same size on any screen, so a big monitor shows more columns rather than bigger cards.

  • With no single competitor picked, This week at the top sums up what changed.
  • Each card shows the ad as people see it, whether it's running or stopped, and who ran it.
  • Right-click a card, or press and hold on a phone, for Open ad, Draft with the assistant, Save to inspiration, See the original, and Copy ad text.

Open an ad

Click a card to open the ad window. Use the arrows, or the arrow keys, to move through the wall.

  • AI read: one line on what the ad sells, and Worth borrowing. Where a bar rule would apply if you borrowed the idea, If you borrow it says so.
  • Details: how long it has run, the advertiser, where it was shown, its format, and its landing page.

Filters and saved views

  • Competitor, Status (Running or Stopped), Platform (Meta or Google), and Format (Image, Video, Carousel, or Text) sit in the toolbar.
  • Filters adds Shown on, Started, Running for, Saved to inspiration, New this week, and Bar rule notes.
  • Sort by Most recent or Longest running, or search the ads' words.

To keep a set of filters, open Saved views and save the view. The page's address keeps your filters too, so you can share the link with a teammate.

Save an ad for later

Click the bookmark on a card, or Save to inspiration in the ad window. Saved ads wait in Grow > Ad studio > Inspiration, ready to start your own. Everyone at your firm sees the same saved ads. See Inspiration.

Draft with the assistant

Click Draft with the assistant on a card or in the ad window. The assistant opens beside the wall with that ad, ready to write your firm's own version. Try Draft our own version, Write 3 hooks from this idea, or Check bar rules.

Keep me posted

At the end of the wall, owners and admins choose how you hear about new ads:

  • Monday email with the week's launches: goes to the firm's owners and admins when a competitor launched or stopped ads that week, with a short read and See every ad. It's on to start with.
  • Tell me the same day when a competitor launches 3 or more ads: a notice in the app, with the ads attached.

Owners and admins also get a weekly notice in their bell with the week's read.

Each firm has a monthly allowance of looks. If it runs out, a line on the page says when the next look runs.

Usage

The weekly looks and the read of each ad count toward your firm's AI credits. They show as Competitor ads under Where credits went on the Usage tab of your firm's Billing page.
