Mission Control
Read the firm's acquisition funnel, advertising spend, channel performance, and retention signals.
What Mission Control is for
Mission Control is the cross-channel growth dashboard. Use it to answer:
- Are contacts progressing into retained matters?
- How much are we spending across paid channels?
- Which channels produce meetings, retained clients, and revenue?
- Are we pacing against monthly advertising budgets?
- Which observed behaviors are associated with stronger retention?
Set the reporting period first
Choose Month to date, Last month, Quarter, Year, or a custom range. Every comparison, funnel, spend number, and channel row should be interpreted inside the displayed dates.
The comparison percentage uses the preceding comparable period. For example, a month-to-date range is compared with the corresponding prior period, not necessarily the entire previous calendar month.
Read the Growth Brief and headline metrics
The Growth Brief summarizes the selected period. Use Regenerate brief when the underlying data has materially changed and you need a fresh narrative.
The headline strip includes:
- Revenue retained
- Matters retained
- New matters created
- New matter value
- Average time to close
Click an underlined count when available to open the records behind it. This is the fastest way to distinguish a real operating change from a data-entry issue.
Read Contact pipeline progression
The funnel shows how volume moves between stages. When advertising-delivery data is available, choose:
- Auto — selects the most useful available funnel for the firm's current data
- Journey — contacts → meetings → matters created → matters retained
- Lead gen — impressions → clicks → contacts created → matters retained
The percentages between stages are stage-to-stage conversion rates. Overall conversion compares the first and last stages only when that comparison is meaningful.

Read Ad spend by channel
This card combines current paid-media spend and the monthly budget targets set in each channel's settings.
Review:
- Total spend
- Share of spend by channel
- Spend against the combined monthly budget
- Estimated month-end pacing
- Average cost per contact
- Average cost per meeting
- Cost per retained client
- Blended ROAS
Budget pacing is most useful for current-month ranges. A forecast over budget is a prompt to inspect the channel dashboards, not an instruction to change campaigns automatically.
Compare Channel performance
Each row represents a marketing channel. The table can include:
- Spend
- Contacts
- Cost per contact
- Cost per meeting
- Retained matters
- Retained clients
- Retained revenue
- Immediate ROAS
- LTV-adjusted ROAS
Click a channel row to open its granular dashboard. Click supported contact, matter, or client counts to review the underlying records.
Matters and clients are not interchangeable
One client can have more than one retained matter. A channel may therefore show different retained-matter and retained-client counts.
Interpret Retention signals
Retention signals highlight behaviors that occurred more often among contacts who later retained than among contacts who did not.
Use them to form operational questions:
- Are fast follow-ups happening consistently?
- Are contacts progressing to a matter promptly?
- Are meetings or conversations being recorded correctly?
- Does the team need a repeatable intake step?
These are observed associations, not guarantees that one action caused retention. Use the Next move as a practical hypothesis, then validate it against real contact and matter records.
The documentation intentionally describes the customer-visible result rather than Superpractice's internal detection or ranking methods.

Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Check |
|---|---|
| Spend is missing | Ad integration, selected account, date range, and channel budget settings |
| Revenue is missing | Retained stage, close date, and matter value or line items |
| Spend is uncategorized | Campaign and ad-group mappings |
| Funnel drops to zero at Matters | Contacts may not have matters, or matters may be outside the period |
| ROAS is blank | Spend or attributed retained revenue may be zero |
| LTV ROAS is blank | Data Model LTV configuration |
| Counts look too high | Confirm whether the column counts matters or distinct clients |
