Integration basics

How Superpractice integrations connect data, protect attribution quality, and keep synced records predictable.

Before you connect

Start by deciding what system owns each kind of data. Most setup issues come from connecting the right tool but leaving ownership unclear.

Decide where retained matters come from

HubSpot, GoHighLevel, and Matter Webhooks can all create or update matters. Use one primary path per matter source when possible.

Keep email and phone clean

Superpractice matches contacts by external IDs, phone, and email. Clean contact data prevents duplicates.

Map services before relying on reporting

Matter reporting depends on line items mapping to real Superpractice services.

Run a small test first

Connect, import a narrow date range or send one test payload, then confirm contacts, matters, stages, and line items.

  1. Open Settings > Integrations.
  2. Connect the integration using the account that owns the source data.
  3. Configure mappings before running a large sync.
  4. Run a small test or short lookback sync.
  5. Review one created contact and one created matter in Superpractice.
  6. Confirm attribution source, matter stage, matter amount, and service line items.
  7. Only then run the full sync or turn on real-time imports.

Data quality rules

FieldRequiredNotes
ContactsRecommendedUse stable email and phone values. E.164 phone format, like +15550100000, is best.
MattersRecommendedUse one stable external ID per matter when the source system provides one.
StagesYesMap outside status names to Superpractice matter stages: new, qualified, engagement_letter_sent, retained, or lost.
ServicesFor reportingMap products, packages, prices, pipelines, or webhook values to real Superpractice services.
